In this episode, I sit down with SueZee Finley — sound therapist, founder of Acoustic Therapeutics, and one of the most joyful humans I have ever had the pleasure of talking to. If you have ever been told by a doctor, a specialist, or anyone in a position of authority that this is just how it is for you — this conversation is going to challenge that in the best possible way.

Featuring Wyze Guest Guide SueZee Finley

SueZee Finley is a sound therapist, founder of Acoustic Therapeutics, and host of the weekly Frequency Funshop — a free Friday session where she teaches people how to use sound, including the power of their own name, to heal and attract. After healing herself from lupus using sound therapy and vibration-based practices, she has spent years helping others restore harmony in their bodies and lives.

What We Cover in This Episode

  • What sound therapy actually is and why your voice is the most powerful tool in your healing toolbox
  • How a 20-minute sound table session cleared 15 years of caregiver stress, brain fog, and lupus symptoms for SueZee
  • Why stuck energy — not just genetics or circumstances — is linked to almost every disease
  • The law of vectors and how unconscious programming pulls your dreams down like gravity
  • Circadian rhythm hacking — the specific light practices and simple tools that changed SueZee’s health
  • Water as frequency — why filtering matters, how to charge water with intention, and the whole lemon trick for restaurants
  • How intention plus vibration equals manifestation — including the client who won $10,000 on a scratch-off after her session

Sound Frees You

SueZee’s entry into sound therapy was not a gentle curiosity — it was a moment of near-collapse at a show where she had nowhere to sit. She stumbled onto a sound table at the back of the room, barely able to speak. The practitioner asked her to say a few words into a microphone, read the frequencies of her voice, and gave her back what she was missing. Twenty minutes later she stood up with a clear head, her shoulders — chronically raised from 15 years of caregiving and 3am hospital runs — finally down.

She left with a piece of paper listing the colors, gemstones, essential oils, foods, and supplements that vibrated at her frequency. And two CDs. She described it as a prescription to go shopping — far more appealing than the prescription her doctor had handed her, which listed possible side effects including blindness.

That night at dinner, when someone asked what she did, the words “I’m a sound therapist” came out of her mouth before she had thought them. She knew immediately it was true.

Sound therapy, as SueZee practices it, is not one thing. It is a whole field. The voice. Tuning forks. Singing bowls. Color. Water. Light. Circadian rhythm. All of it is vibration. All of it affects how the body functions. And all of it can be brought back into harmony.

Stuck Energy and the Body’s Wisdom

One of the most important things SueZee shared was about stuck energy — and why it matters so much more than most of us have been taught.

We are born knowing how to self-regulate. Babies throw tantrums and feel better. Animals shake off a threat and return to baseline. Humans are taught to be quiet, hold it together, and not make a scene. So the energy has nowhere to go. It stays. And over time, according to SueZee and the research she has spent years absorbing, that stuck energy is linked to almost every disease.

She talked about Chinese medicine’s understanding that the lungs are the organ of grief — and how she noticed two women she grew up around both developed lung cancer years after losing their husbands. Neither of them smoked. Both of them were praised at the funeral for being so brave, for not crying.

The body is not making mistakes. It is storing what we were never allowed to release.

Sound gives it a way out. It is, as SueZee describes it, a method of self-regulating — one we were born knowing how to do and have simply been talked out of.

The Law of Vectors

SueZee brought one of the clearest explanations I have heard for why positive thinking alone is not enough. She called it the law of vectors.

You have a dream — say, a million dollars, or just a version of your life that feels free and full. That dream has a trajectory. But pulling it down, like gravity, are all the beliefs you carry underneath it: money doesn’t grow on trees, you have to work hard, you’re not worthy, this is a lupus thing, your back will never heal. Every one of those beliefs is a weight attached to what you are trying to reach. You aim for a million and land at ten thousand because of everything hanging off the intention.

This is why healing the programming is just as important as holding the vision. When SueZee was trying to climb the stairs with her Wonder Woman socks on, she genuinely believed she could do it — but she was being overridden by everything the doctors had told her for years. The positive thought could not win against the volume of the negative programming underneath it.

Sound, she explains, helps clear the weight. It gets the body into harmony. And from harmony, the trajectory of your dream is no longer being pulled down.

Circadian Rhythm, Water, and the Small Things That Change Everything

SueZee’s top three modalities outside of direct sound work are circadian rhythm management, water, and grounding — and her approach to all three is deeply practical.

On light: she wears different colored glasses at different times of day — slightly yellow-tinted during work hours to protect against too much blue light, orange in the evening to mimic sunset, red at night when she is still on the computer late. She has red light bulbs beside her screen. Her phone goes on airplane mode at bedtime. The principle is simple — our hormones are governed by light, and modern life has completely disrupted the signals our bodies evolved to receive. Small adjustments to light exposure throughout the day are one of the most impactful and underused tools available.

On water: she filters everything — including shower water, because she learned that a shower is like drinking six gallons. She charges her water by humming into it with an intention before drinking. She uses a cobalt blue bottle and sunlight to infuse water with specific frequencies. At restaurants, she asks for spring water in glass, and she shared a trick I had never heard before — placing a whole uncut lemon in a glass of questionable water for five minutes absorbs the toxins. Remove the lemon, do not eat it, and the water is significantly cleaner.

On grounding: figure eights with a stainless steel spoon on the soles of the feet rebalances polarity when getting outside is not possible. She brings a spoon when she travels.

None of these require a large investment. All of them are things you can start today.

Intention Plus Vibration Equals Manifestation

SueZee shared a story that still makes me smile. A client came in wanting $10,000 to remodel her kitchen. During the session SueZee guided her to visualize the finished kitchen in full sensory detail — the laughter, the smell of food cooking, her children around the table. Four weeks later the client showed up with five new friends in tow. The kitchen was being finished. She had won $10,000 on a scratch-off lottery ticket the week after the session.

The formula SueZee uses comes from sound healer Jonathan Goldman: intention plus vibration equals manifestation. The sound therapy gets the body into a state of harmony. From that state, the visualization is not just a thought — it is a felt experience. And a felt experience at the frequency of what you want is, according to everything SueZee has studied and practiced, exactly how manifestation works.
